Paleo Pumpkin Pie

You guys this paleo pumpkin pie is just good. I dono’t even like pumpkin and I like this recipe.  Truth be told, I don’t love pumpkin pie. I know, the horror. Pumpkin Pie is an American classic, a Thanksgiving tradition, all of that. But I’d just much rather eat a vanilla cream pie, which is what I make for myself on Thanksgiving. Yes, I make pumpkin pie for all the pumpkin lovers and make a chocolate pie basically for myself. Just kidding. Sort of. But even I like this pumpkin pie. I like the creaminess from the coconut milk, I like that it doesn’t taste like a bucket of sugar was added and overall I like knowing that I’m not going to develop diabetes from eating it. Especially if I have more than one slice of Paleo Pumpkin Pie. Which, let’s be honest, I will. Why this Paleo Pumpkin Pie…

Vanilla Pie With Caramel Pecan Topping

I like pie. But honestly, I don’t love fruit pies. Apple pie? Pass. Cherry pie? Gross. I’m just not into them. I do like chocolate pie. And vanilla pie. And I freaking love caramel. So this little baby pie was born. And it ended up being really good, mostly raw, and totally vegan. Which is surprising, because making a vegan pie was not at all my intention. Also if you consider honey an animal food, I guess it’s not vegan. But you could sub maple syrup. Paleo Caramel Sauce

When I was a kid I loved caramel. I would get caramel apples and just lick the caramel off because I’m weird like that. I couldn’t be bothered with the boring and only nutritious component of the apple. One time I tried to get my brother to eat the apple after I licked all the caramel off (because I’m gross like that). But instead of grossing you out, I want to get you psyched on this awesome caramel recipe. It’s dairy-free and sweetened with raw, local honey. It’s super simple and only requires you to stir it around a bit. Paleo Caramel Sauce This Paleo Caramel Sauce is dairy-free and sweetened with raw, local honey. It’s super simple and only requires you to stir it around a bit. 1 cup coconut milk1/2 cup honey2 tbsp coconut sugar2 tbsp ghee Combine all ingredients over medium to medium-high heat.Stir with a wooden…

Caramel Shortbread Squares

Yesterday I was craving a sweet treat and came up with these. I love vanilla and caramel flavors so I stuck with those, but if you like chocolate, I definitely suggest sprinkling chocolate chips on top of this. This paired really nicely with Earl Grey tea, and they were super decadent. Pumpkin Cupcakes with Maple Cream Cheese Frosting (Grain & Refined Sugar Free)

I make these every fall (okay, since last fall) and they’re always a hit. Fall doesn’t really start for me until I make these babies, and I’ve finally accepted that my favorite season is over and soon enough the leaves will change colors and I’ll have to start wearing pants (unfortunately). I make these using almond flour, a healthy dose of anti-inflammatory cinnamon and local, raw honey. The frosting is made from both grass-fed cream cheese and butter and local maple syrup, making the frosting extremely nutrient dense; much more so than the junk you find in the store that’s loaded with hydrogenated vegetable oils, high fructose corn syrup, and refined sugar from GMO sugar beets. If you’re looking for a healthier fall cupcake recipe, this is it! Pumpkin Cupcakes with Maple Cream Cheese Frosting I make these pumpkin cupcakes using almond flour, a healthy dose of anti-inflammatory cinnamon and…

Caramelized Banana Muffins

These muffins were inspired by the very popular bananas foster dessert. Have you had it? It’s made of caramelized bananas and vanilla ice cream and it’s amazing. I thought it would taste really good to make a banana foster inspired muffin (…maybe I should have called these Bananas Foster Muffins now that I think about it). It’s less dry than a typical muffin because truth be told, I hate dry muffins. They were a hit in my house. You will look like this after you eat one: Paleo Caramelized Banana Muffins These muffins were inspired by the very popular bananas foster dessert. Have you had it? Chocolate Chip Cookie Brownies (Paleo & Primal)

I’ll be honest, I’m not a huge fan of sweets. I prefer bacon or my favorite potato chips, and I’ll actually take vanilla over chocolate any day. But sometimes, chocolate really hits the spot. And it tastes awesome with raw milk. These were pretty dense and gooey, which I love. Paleo Chocolate Chips Cookie Brownies These brownies are super easy to make and taste simply divine! Raw Mixed Berry Cheesecake (Vegan, Paleo, Primal)

I am a huge fan of raw treats. Raw taco wraps? I love ’em. Beef jerkey made in my dehydrator? Amazing. Raw desserts? ARE THE BOMB. Unfortunately, a lot of store bought raw desserts contain agave nectar and are super expensive. If you have a good blender, raw desserts are actually really easy to make at home. Summertime is the perfect time of year to make this dessert. Berries are juicy, fresh and in-season. I even got these at my local farmers market.
